Blandford Nature Center

Think Globally, Act Locally

We are stoked to partner with the Blandford Nature Center here in our backyard of Grand Rapids and introduce the limited-edition Blandford Slippery Elm Hydration Shower Bar. Blandford's vision of a thriving, diverse community supporting a healthy, natural world speaks our love language!

Blandford is a 264-acre non-profit nature center located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Their mission is to engage and empower the community through enriching experiences in nature.

Back in 2017, Blandford and the Land Conservancy of West Michigan partnered on the large-scale urban restoration project to transform a 121-acre former golf course, to its natural state after decades of pesticide and chemical application. Today, the Highlands are thriving and supports needed biodiversity of plants and animals within the city of Grand Rapids.

The Ambassador program is home to a variety of rescued wildlife not able to survive on their own due to severe injury. Wildlife ambassadors include owls, falcons, vultures, corvids, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians.  Ambassadors provide educational programming to students of all ages.

The Farm Community Supported Agriculture grows over 200 different varieties of vegetables. CSA members support and invest in the farm by purchasing a “share” of the vegetable, herb or flower harvest that they can pick up weekly. Check out membership information here

For each Slippery Elm bar sold,10% goes to Blandford Nature Center.
